Optima Group is primed for success with our neighboring San Diego office. From here, we can reduce both cost and carbon emissions by storing our equipment nearby. Ultimately, a local storage facility will streamline our construction process and overall project delivery. The Cost of the project is a factor the Optima team took greatly into consideration. Many designs and materials were taken into consideration to provide exceptional services within reasonable cost.

Constructability

Based on budgeted parameters, the construction team works closely with the design team to determine the constructibility of our project. Continuously working on designs and performing calculations the Optima team has made sure that the designs pass the constructibility requirements. Although there may be some unforseen complications, the construction of the project should run smoothly. With the exception of constructing within the San Elijo Lagoon.

Optima’s primary objective in designing the Main Bridge was to avoid construction in the San Elijo Lagoon. The current project design involves the use of tied arch bridges so that the final bridge will not have a supporting column in the lagoon. The project will comply with San Diego’s Planning and Development Services regulations. At Optima Group, we aim in design, construction, and operation, to reduce negative impacts on our climate and natural environment. One step towards working to improve our community is to reduce air emissions which are major in the construction phase due to exhaust from construction equipment. Thanks to the California Air Resources Board, we can meet realistic goals to reduce air emissions through their California Diesel Fuel program which set stringent standards for California diesel that produce cost effective emission reductions from diesel powered vehicles. Optima Group will include a quality management system to improve accountability for construction quality on the project. We will be implementing a rain garden system for our Low Impact Apporach approach. Additionally, we will have a safety manager to serve as the safety officer to manage all safety protocols on the project. The safety manager will be accountable for safety performance on the project’s construction site.
