Overview
Guided by Dr. Lomiento, the design team, and Dr. Gad, the construction team, a 17-member senior project team sought to improve the existing I-5 Interstate over the San Elijo Lagoon in San Diego, California.

This project was completed by senior-level civil engineering and construction management students at Cal Poly Pomona. Guided by our advisors, industry professionals sponsors from SKANSKA and Flatiron, and our knowledge acquired throughout our academic path. We were able to develop a comprehensive Highway Bridge Design-Build project.

Our Design-Build Project focused mainly on geotechnical design, structural design, analysis of construction methods, scheduling, and estimating.
